The Curio Club

A weekly letter, worth reading.

From Savannah — on design, materials, place & the work of living well.

The Curio Club is the letter we send once a week to the people who want more than a portfolio. It isn't a marketing list. It's where the studio thinks out loud — about the way a material behaves, the pull of a particular landscape, and the slow craft of making a home that lasts. If that sounds like your kind of reading, you're in good company.

Why it exists

No tips. No trends. Just thinking.

Most design newsletters race to tell you what's in and what's out. The Curio Club does the opposite. There are no top-ten lists, no shopping round-ups, no chasing the algorithm — just one considered letter about how spaces shape us, and how a little more attention to the places we live changes the way it feels to be in them.

It's written the way we work: unhurried, curious, and honest about the craft. Read it over coffee. Keep the ones that stay with you.

What lands in your inbox

Four threads we keep pulling on.

One letter a week, each one following a thought somewhere. Over time they circle the same handful of ideas.

Design & materials

How a room is actually made — the grain of a timber, the weight of a linen, why one stone reads warm and another cold.

Place

The landscape a home sits in, and how the world outside a window should shape the world within it.

Considered homes

The slow, deliberate work of building a space that lasts — and the thinking behind the choices most people never see.

Living well

Not lifestyle. The quieter question underneath it: how the spaces we keep end up keeping us.

Who writes it

A real letter, from Savannah.

Every issue is written by Savannah Dodge, the designer behind Curio Studio — not a marketing team, not a template. It carries the same ethos that guides the studio's work: rooms that connect people, place & planet, made with intention and built to last. You're reading the thinking behind the practice, straight from the person doing it.

Our Journal is written in the same voice as the letter — the same curiosity, the same care. Spend a few minutes there and you'll know exactly what to expect in your inbox.
