What we collect
What you tell us. We only know what you choose to share in a form:
- An inquiry: your name, email, phone, a partner's email if you add one, and your project details (the kind of project, where it is, what you hope for, timeline, budget and how you like to be contacted).
- Booking a call: your name, email, phone, a note about the project, your timeline and the time you pick.
- The Style Quiz: your answers and, if you ask for your result, your name and email.
- The Curio Club newsletter, a guide or a design guide request: your name and email, and a phone number where the form asks for one.
What the site records on its own.
- Where you came from: the ad, link or site that brought you here (for an ad, the search words it ran on), and the page you first landed on. We keep this with your details when you send a form.
- Form safety details: the internet address (IP) and browser type a form was sent from, so we can spot spam and abuse.
- Page visits: counted in aggregate by a site statistics tool that uses no cookies and does not identify you.
- Our emails: when we email you, we may note whether the email was opened or a link in it was clicked, so we know it arrived.
How we use it
- To reply to you, and to follow up the way you asked us to.
- To schedule your call and send the calendar invite and reminders.
- To send what you asked for: a guide, your Style Quiz result.
- To send the Curio Club newsletter, only if you joined. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To learn which ads, posts and pages actually bring people to us, so we spend less on the ones that do not.
- To keep the site and our forms safe from spam and abuse.
- If you become a client, to run your project: agreements, invoices, schedules and your client portal.
Tools that help us
A few service providers process information for us so the studio can run. They work on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms, and may not use your information for anything else:
- Google Ads: tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to send a form or book a call. With Enhanced Conversions, your email and phone (and sometimes your name) are scrambled in your browser with a one-way hash before anything is sent, so Google can match the visit to an ad click without receiving them in readable form.
- Email, calendar and video calls: our email, scheduling and meeting tools, including the service that delivers our confirmations and the Curio Club newsletter.
- Hosting: the companies that host this website, our client portal and the database where your details are kept, and that store files we share with clients.
- Form protection and site statistics: a check on our forms that tells people from bots by looking at signals from your browser, and page visit counts that use no cookies and do not identify you.
- Accounting: invoices and payments, for clients.
- AI tools: tools that help us search and summarize our own records and draft notes.
- Video: if a page plays a video, it comes from a video hosting service, in privacy-enhanced mode where available.
Cookies
The site sets as few cookies as it can. These are all of them:
- curio_ft (ours, 90 days): when you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, it remembers that click (for a Google ad, its click ID, campaign and keyword) and the page you landed on. If you come back and get in touch within 90 days, we can still tell which ad or link brought you. It is set only when you arrive that way, and only on this site.
- curio_consent (ours, 180 days): remembers your answer to the cookie notice so we only ask once.
- Google's ad cookies (such as _gcl_au): set by the Google Ads tag to measure conversions. Google explains how it uses information from sites like ours.
Separately, while a tab is open the site keeps a note of how you arrived (session storage, cleared when you close the tab). It is sent only with a form you choose to submit.
Saying no. Press “No thanks” in the cookie notice and we delete our tracking cookie and Google's ad cookies, and tell Google not to store ad cookies for your visits. The site works exactly the same either way. We honor Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, we treat it as “No thanks” and never show the notice. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland start with these cookies off until they press OK. We do not use personalized or remarketing ads.
We don't sell it
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. The only advertising use is the Google Ads measurement above, which you can switch off with “No thanks” or Global Privacy Control.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and contact details, if you do not become a client: up to three years after we were last in touch, so we can pick up where we left off. Then we delete them. Ask and we will delete them sooner.
- Client records (agreements, invoices, project files): seven years after your project ends, for tax and business records. Then we delete them.
- The newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so you are not added back by mistake.
- Cookies: for the times listed above, or until you clear them.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- stop emailing you (or use the unsubscribe link in any email).
Email info@curiostudiointeriors.com or call (413) 358-1580. We may ask you to confirm it is really you before we act, and we will reply within 30 days. We keep your information secure with access limited to the studio team, though no system is perfectly secure.
Children
This site is for adults planning their homes. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
