How We Work

What working with us actually feels like.

We learn how you actually live before we change a single thing. Below is every step of working together, from the first conversation to the reveal. Each one shows the real screen you'll use with us, and most of them you can try for yourself.

The homes, people and numbers in these demos are examples.

Your project, start to finish
1The first conversation

We meet you where you are.

“Will they really listen to what we want?”

Beginning a home can feel like a lot. Book a free first call right here: pick a day, pick a time, and tell us how to reach you. There's no pitch. We want to understand what you're working with, what isn't working, and what you're hoping for. If you'd rather write first, Savannah replies herself within one business day.

  • A free first call, booked right on our site
  • A real reply, within one business day
  • The Style Quiz, if you'd like to give us a head start

This is the real booking: pick a time and it's on Savannah's calendar

2Your proposal

A starting point we shape together.

“What will this cost, and what are we paying for?”

After our conversation, we send a proposal written for your home: what we'd take on, how it would be staged, the timeline and the investment. It's not a sales document. You can move through it, adjust the furnishings for each room, and ask about anything before you approve it.

  • Every room described in plain language
  • Your furnishings, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) estimate, adjustable room by room
  • Every way to work with us side by side, with what changes
  • How our markup works: never above retail
  • Payment timing laid out before you sign

2Your agreement

Your agreement, one step at a time.

“What are we agreeing to, and what happens next?”

Your service agreement takes you to each place that needs you, in order, so nothing gets missed. Adopt your signature once and it goes everywhere it's needed. The moment it's signed, you'll know exactly what comes next: your retainer invoice, then your invitation to the Curio portal, where your welcome form is waiting.

  • A guided agreement: adopt your signature once and it goes everywhere it's needed
  • A signed copy, kept on file and ready to download
  • Clear next steps the moment you sign

3Getting to know you

Inquiry before intervention.

“Will they understand how we actually live?”

Your welcome form begins with us: the people in your corner and what we'll ask of you. Then it's your turn. One question per screen, about your rhythms, how you want home to feel, what you're drawn to and what's an immediate no. Savannah reads every answer before your kickoff call, so we never impose a look. We reveal yours.

  • One question per screen, at your own pace
  • Real finishes and rooms to react to, so you never have to find the words
  • It saves as you go, so you can pause and come back
  • Your kickoff call, booked at the end

4Designing together

Decisions in writing.

“How do decisions get made, and what if we don't love it?”

Each room arrives as its own page: a note from Savannah, two directions side by side, then every piece in the one you choose. Approve a piece, use one from the other direction, or ask us to re-source it. Along the bottom, your whole-home direction, budget and design hours add up as you go. When every piece has an answer, you send it back, and it becomes the record of your home.

  • Directions side by side, room by room
  • Every piece approved, swapped or re-sourced, one at a time
  • Your budget and design hours, adding up as you choose
  • Drawings to approve, or send back with a note
  • A room preview you can step inside before anything is ordered

Inside your portal: a design review

Room preview

Step inside your room before anything is built.

We build your room in 3D straight from the drawings, then let you stand in it. Look around from each spot, watch the light move from morning to evening, open what opens, and make the choices that are still open, one at a time. Your answers come straight back to Savannah. This is a real Curio kitchen. Step inside.

What you'll hold in your hands.

Every page here comes from a real Curio project: the River Rd schematic design and drawing set, and the A-Frame. Which of these you receive depends on how we work together.

5The investment in your home

Actual versus plan, the whole way through.

“Will we stay on budget, and where is it all going?”

Your portal keeps your invoices, design hours and the investment in your home in one place, with what we planned next to what's actually happened, month by month. Approve a piece and it counts toward your FF&E budget right away. Sign a change order and it adds to your budget in front of you. Surprises are shared the day we find them, not at the end.

  • Actual versus plan for your investment and your design hours
  • Invoices, hours, FF&E and change orders, each with its own page
  • Change orders that add to your budget the moment they're signed
  • A heads-up at 25, 50, 75 and 100% of your design hours

6Your timeline

Always know where things stand.

“When will it be done, and what's holding it up?”

Your project's five phases sit on one calendar, with a line for today. Open a phase to see its milestones and their dates, and ask about any of them. Anything waiting on you sits right at the top, in green, because green always means it's your turn.

  • Five phases on one calendar
  • Milestones with real dates, and a way to ask about each
  • Your next steps, always at the top

7Installation & reveal

A joyful reveal, and a cared-for home.

“What happens when it's finished, and how do we care for it?”

During install days, we ask that you leave your home in our care while our white glove team unboxes, places, and stages with intention. Then comes the part we've all been waiting for: the reveal, a professional photoshoot and a final walk-through together. Your portal keeps the reveal gallery and a handoff package with everything you'll need to care for your home. The relationship doesn't end with the install. It just changes shape.

  • A final walk-through, together
  • Your reveal gallery, kept in your portal
  • A handoff package: care, warranties and the record of your project

The Curio portal

Walk through a sample home.

Everything above lives in one place, your Curio portal, on your phone or your laptop. Open the sample and look around: designs, timeline, money, documents and messages for an example home.

Our promises to you

What we hold ourselves to.

  • A real reply, within one business day.Every inquiry gets a personal response from Savannah, not a form confirmation.
  • We take on a small number of projects each year.Capacity is finite. We protect it so every project gets the attention it deserves.
  • Decisions in writing.Nothing gets lost in conversation. Every choice that shapes your home is documented and shared.
  • Surprises the day we find them.If something changes (cost, timing, scope), you hear it from us immediately, not at the end.
  • The project ends when the home feels like yours. Not when the invoice clears, not when the install team leaves. When you walk in and it's home.

Let's begin where you are.

Within one business day. A real reply, from Savannah.
