Interior Design in the Catskills

The Catskills have had a design renaissance in the last decade, and with it has come an enormous amount of very earnest, very similar aesthetic choices — shiplap, live edge, Edison bulbs, a palette that says 'forest' as loudly as possible. The Catskills deserve better than that. The landscape is genuinely dramatic. The light is genuinely particular. The homes that respond to that specificity rather than to a mood board tend to be the ones that feel right five years later. We've worked in the Catskills long enough to know the difference between a space that's trying to feel like the mountains and one that actually does.
